intraday in‧tra‧day [ˈɪntrədeɪ] adjective [only before a noun] FINANCE
happening within one day:

• The Nikkei 225 fell at one stage more than 4 per cent - its biggest intraday fall of the year.

• In Tokyo, stocks closed lower but above intraday lows in active trading.

   A term that means 'within the day' and usually refers to prices in financial markets. An intraday price can be any price between the opening and the close. Common intraday intervals used to record price changes include tick (the minimum movement possible in the price of a financial instrument) or five-minute, half-hourly and hourly.
